课程简介:

       本课程是面向环境科学和工程本科生开设的专业基础课程,具有多学科交叉的特点,涉及内容不仅是科学研究范畴的问题,同时也是关乎人类生存与繁衍需应对的问题。本课程以当代重大环境问题为主线, 介绍当代环境问题的现状、成因、发展趋势和控制对策, 其中穿插环境科学与工程研究最新的成果和信息资料。本课程主要介绍当前国际前沿全球变化与环境问题的主要研究内容、意义、理论及其最新研究进展。主要内容包括,环境生态学基础理论;环境问题演变及人类社会活动与全球变化的关系;全球性环境问题及其主要特征与过程分析;环境污染防治技术概述;人类应对和处理全球变化、全球环境问题和污染防治过程中,个人、社会、政府及国际合作组织采取的对策等;在教学中,通过构建“学科热点-案例分析-合作学习-研究成果展示-创新导引”的教学模式,使学生对本专业有宏观的把握,明确专业的热点和难点领域,为后续专业课学习打下宽厚的理论基础,同时提高专业英语交流能力。

  Course Description:

      This course is intended to introduce students to the basics of environmental science and engineering with emphasis on ecological and sociological perspectives. Environmental science and engineering are multidisciplinary subjects consisting of various fields, such as physics, chemistry, biology, geology, meteorology, economy, sociology, political science, engineering, etc. For instance, understanding the global warming issue requires not only understanding the physical and chemical mechanisms of global warming but also understanding the interconnectedness of global warming with industrialization, globalization, technological innovations, and the various life styles of people in various societies. It is important to understand the relationships between causes and effects involved in various environmental issues, whereas an understanding of the social sciences is integral to understanding why these issues occur, why they are of concern, and how they should be prevented, improved or resolved.
